We loved this place. The bartender was so helpful and let me taste every beer to see which one I liked. He made a cocktail of his own invention with fresh lavender from the garden and locally sourced gin. The lavender-juniper combination really works. The waitress was a sweet soul. The salad was one of the best I've ever had, a variety of greens all picked that morning from a farm down the road. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table...you probably want to make a reservation if you can.

Glad we did as dinner was really really nice...great drinks, excellent food. Nice service.

Recommended but book first!

Stonecat is an upscale restaurant that uses local, organic food products, when available. All food is made in house. Stonecat is quaint and has a nice, outdoor patio. It offers live music some days. It has an upscale bar. On Wednesday, there is a great bar menu, some bar foods other days. The bar makes creative cocktails, has nice beer selection, and serves many Fingerlakes wines! The staff is knowledgeable. Stonecat is located on Seneca Lake and is convenient to Ithaca, Geneva, Watkins Glen, and Elmira.

So tried for breakfast and i think their hours are wrong....we arrived at opening time and were no spaces unavailable and many people seated. Weird but we gave it another shot and had dinner there.

We had coffee and desert. Everything was fine. The waitress was friendly and pleasant. The menu was not cheap, Expensive ???

The view was fantastic. It is a good place for a rest. Overall I recommend the Stonecat Cafe.

We were excited to eat here because we support local slow food. We started with the pub board which had a very small amount of cheese but it's sort of expected when it is sourced locally. My husband had a perfectly cooked steak with mashed potatoes and kale. While it was delicious, it was not worth $38. The beef was neither local nor grass fed. The real trouble with the dinner was with the curry that I ordered. The veggies were cold and raw, even the onions and grape tomatoes that seemed to be thrown in as an afterthought. The purple "sticky" rice was crunchy. The entree was priced at $28 and did not include meat. I've eaten bad food and haven't complained, but this dish was inedible. When I sent it back, the waitress attempted to defend the crunchy rice, stating that it was baked, however the menu stated that it was "sticky". I then ordered a salad and soup which were both delicious and priced fairly, but the ordeal with the curry soured the experience. Also to be noted, we ordered two $15 glasses of wine. It seemed expensive for a true 4oz pour in a place where wine is abundant.
